Potential for Contract Termination

EMI Health has contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide Medicare Part D benefits. At the end of each year this contract may be renewed; however, both CMS and EMI Health have the ability to terminate this contract.

If the contract is terminated at the end of a contract year, you will generally be notified 90 days in advance. If the contract is ended in the middle of the year by CMS, EMI Health will provide notice as soon as possible, but the notice may be provided less than 30 days before the contract termination date. You will have an opportunity to enroll in a different Medicare Part D Plan without incurring a late enrollment penalty as long as you enroll within the required time period established by CMS.
